Playa del Cura in Torrevieja (Alicante) is the city’s most central beach: fine sand, calm water protected by small breakwaters, and a lively promenade with cafés, ice‑cream shops, and restaurants. It’s ideal for families and casual swimmers, with seasonal lifeguards, sunbed and umbrella rentals, foot showers, toilets, wooden walkways, and accessible ramps; services can vary by season. Expect crowds in July–August and busier evenings; arrive before 10:00 for more space, and always check the swim‑safety flag at the lifeguard posts. The beach often holds Blue Flag recognition, though this can change year to year. It’s an easy walk from the town center and marina; street parking exists but fills quickly, so consider nearby paid car parks. For a change of scenery, you can stroll north to Playa de los Locos or south toward El Acequión and Los Náufragos along the seafront.
