Molino de Agua Park in Torrevieja is a stunning natural escape located just between the city and La Mata. Covering around 17 hectares, it serves as an ecological bridge linking the salt flats of Santa Pola with the lagoons at La Mata and Torrevieja.
The park features paved walkways winding through pine forests, shrubs, and fossil dunes. A replica water mill marks the entrance, honoring the old 19th-century mill that once processed grain and salt. Water flows through charming channels and mini waterfalls, leading to ponds with fountains—all under the shade of mature trees.
Wildlife is abundant: birds like yellow-legged gulls and common terns, small mammals, and dune-adapted plants thrive here. From the park you can also easily reach La Mata beach via scenic paths. The calm ambience, water sounds, and lush surroundings make it perfect for walks, picnics, or just relaxing away from busy areas.
