Open Time

Playa de Los Locos is one of Torrevieja’s most popular beaches, located in the northern part of the city along Avenida Dr. Mariano Ruiz Cánovas. It stretches about 760 meters and is 25 meters wide, with fine golden sand and a 200-meter rocky section that has stairs for easy water access. The beach has received Blue Flag and Qualitur awards and is certified with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.

It’s fully equipped with lifeguard towers, a first-aid post, toilets, foot showers, and sunbed rentals. There are children’s play areas, water features, and the beach is accessible to everyone, including ramps, walkways, adapted toilets, and an amphibious chair for assisted sea entry during July and August.

The promenade behind the beach is lined with restaurants, cafés, bars, and there’s even a beach bar (chiringuito) on the sand. It’s a favorite among both tourists and locals thanks to its clean waters, family-friendly atmosphere, and services.

Easily reached by foot or by bus (line A), it’s a great spot to enjoy the sun and sea in a vibrant but relaxed setting. It’s typically less crowded than Playa del Cura and less windy than Playa de la Mata, making it an ideal place to unwind.
